After the success of the FIFA World Cup 2022 Qatar has relaunched the Hayya platform with new features and options for applying tourist and business visas. Most visitors have the option of staying with their friends and relatives, but their hosts have to register the accommodation on the Hayya portal.

This article will explain how citizens and residents of Qatar can register host family and friends for Hayya Card approval.

Latest Updates

10 FEBRUARY 2024 UPDATE: The deadline for entry under the Hayya With Me (C) scheme came to a close on February 10, 2024. The last date of stay in Qatar will be February 24, 2024.

APRIL 2023 UPDATE: Now you can register only one property and accommodate up to five guests per property. Earlier it was 5 properties and 10 guests per property. Another change is that the host should add the guest before the guest applies for Hayya Card.

Accommodation Requirement For Hayya Card

As part of the Hayya Card approval process for international visitors, you must confirm where you will stay in Qatar. Below are the options available now:

a) Discover Qatar Hotel booking

Visitors can book hotels through Discover Qatar website. A wide range of hotels suitable for every budget is available through this. For some categories of visas, Discover Qatar hotel booking is compulsory.

b) Book Regular Hotel

Accommodation can be booked through hotel/holiday websites or other portals like Tripadvisor. If the visitor is selecting this option, they have to upload their booking details on the Hayya portal using “Upload Other Platforms Booking”.

  1. I received below comment when I apply for my mother- you cannot submit application as you are already added as a guest in this account.

    Please clarify me

    1. Doha Guides Team

Hi Sheik, It seems you are trying to apply from the same account. There should be two Hayya accounts using two email ids: (1) QID holder’s account: The host/QID holder should create an account from which he should invite the guest. (2) The visitor’s account: The visitor should apply for a visa from this account.

  2. We are not able to open the site via a link sent by Hayya after I added family members on Hayya to invited them to a rented place where I am staying.
The window which opens reads as below:
    Kindly suggest solution.
    Thanks in advance.

    Your connection isn’t private
Attackers might be trying to steal your information from url7959.hayya.qa (for example, passwords, messages, or credit cards).
    NET::ERR_CERT_COMMON_NAME_INVALID
url7959.hayya.qa uses encryption to protect your information. When Microsoft Edge tried to connect to url7959.hayya.qa this time, the website sent back unusual and incorrect credentials. This may happen when an attacker is trying to pretend to be url7959.hayya.qa, or a Wi-Fi sign-in screen has interrupted the connection. Your information is still secure because Microsoft Edge stopped the connection before any data was exchanged.

You can’t visit url7959.hayya.qa right now because the website uses HSTS. Network errors and attacks are usually temporary, so this page will probably work later.

Hi Dinesh, This seems like a technical error due to browser security. You can try it from another browser. If you still face issues, call the Hayya helpline.

  3. Dear DG
Good Afternoon! I’m pleased to share that I received my mother’s tourist visa within a day. Initially, the application was rejected yesterday due to an issue with father’s name. However, I promptly uploaded the last page of the passport along with the first page, and this morning, the visa was approved.

Regarding the payment, I haven’t received the link yet. Could you please provide details on where and when the payment needs to be made?

Additionally, I’d appreciate information about the required health insurance. Kindly clarify whether it needs to be obtained immediately or at the time of extension for another year.

Thank you in advance for your assistance

Hi Ali, Congratulations! Some nationalities are exempted from payment for Tourist Visa. If you have received Hayya Entry Permit without payment that is good to travel. Regarding the insurance it is better to buy one month insurance at the time of travel and buy one more month before renewal.

  4. Dear DG,
Good morning. I hope you’re well. I have a few doubts I need clarification on regarding hosting my mom on an A1 visa. I’m currently stuck in the accommodation section. Should I create my Hayya profile and host my family from there, or should I use my mom’s Hayya profile to host by validating my QID and other necessary details? Your help in clarifying this would be greatly appreciated

    1. Doha Guides Team

Hi Ali, You should create your Hayya account, register property, and add your mother as guest. Then you should apply for mother’s visa from her account and select “host family and friends”.

  5. Dear DG,
Thanks for the comprehensive articles on visa services, its so helpful as we couldn’t these extensive details anywhere else in Qatar.
My questions may be repetitive, however still I would like to get clarified with you.
    1. Can I apply Family visit visa as well as Hayya A1 visa for my wife and kids parallelly ? if yes, we will there be any conflict which might result in rejection of both visas (as my family is planned to visit during last week of Dec 2023, which we have just one month).
    2. I have just applied Hayya A1 visa for my in-laws who are going to accompany my wife and kids, for a short trip to Qatar, will that be approved as they are above 60 years.?
    3. In family visit visa, I see that marriage certificate should be attested, however my name is already endorsed in my wife passport, that authenticates our relationship. Should I still need to submit attested marriage cert or my passport is enough ?
    4. What is the current time taken for MOI to approve family visit visa?
    Appreciate your response!
    Thanks

    1. Doha Guides Team

Hi Jai, Thanks for your kind words.
      (1) Please check this directly with Hayya Support at 800 2022 or [email protected]. The reason is that sometimes they say you cannot apply both at the same time (while we have seen people doing that and getting approved).
      (2) There is no age limit for A1 visa.
      (3) Marriage certificate attestation is mandatory nowadays. What you have said is a valid point, but sometimes the officer will not check that and mark the application as missing document.
      (4) Nowadays most visas are delayed. Both Family Visit Visa and A1 Tourist visa are taking around 3 weeks (on average). It all depends on your luck.

    1. Doha Guides Team

Hi Pramodya, Please check if you have linked your Metrash account with your mobile phone number. If you have done that and still seeing error, please call 800 2022.

  6. My spouse has hosted my parents while I have applied for an A1 tourist visa for them. However, it’s been 3 weeks, and the visa is not being accepted. I am not under my husband’s sponsorship; is this the cause of the approval’s delay?

    1. Doha Guides Team

Hi Priti, This has nothing to do with host’s status. Almost all A1 visa applications (adults) are delayed because nowadays there is enhanced security check. It is taking 2-4 weeks for most applicants.

  7. Dear DG,
I have planned to bring my wife to Qatar in hayya tourist visa (A1).
I am going to host her with my current national address certificate (NAC) on hayya portal.
After registration of my current accommodation details ( National address certificate) on the hayya portal to invite her,
Suppose If I change or shift to another accommodation after her arrival to Qatar. Is it ok to change to another accommodation. Since the previously registered accommodation details are different on the hayya portal ?
    Please advise me…
    Thank you.

    1. Doha Guides Team

Hi Balaji, Usually this is not an issue. If you want to be sure, you can invite her under someone else’s address also (may be a friend or relative).

  8. How can I delete guest from my Hayya app ( one property)? as their visit is completed and next time I will have to invite other guests.

  9. Hi DG,
I received my wife A1 visit visa thru Host Friends/Family option. Now I want to add my son also as guest.
Is it possible to add his name in my property section. ? I am not finding any such option in the portal.
    Please advise.

    1. this is now resolved as I contacted Hayya toll free and they clarified the wrong email id I was using.
      thanks Hayya Support!!

  10. We have an Approved Hayya Tourist Visa (A1) with us, and the email related to the invitational accommodation code that was sent to us from Hayya after the Host had added us as guests was deleted by mistake from my email Inbox.
Do I need to show that email on arrival? can we have that email again for reference.

    1. Doha Guides Team

Hi Alps P, Usually it is not asked upon arrival, but your airline may ask accommodation details during check-in. See if you can retrieve the email from Recycle Bin. Or else you can contact Hayya helpline to resend the email.

  11. Hi i am trying to register my accommodation in hayya portal but while validating QID i am getting error of Qid already in use but i am registering for the first time. Please guide me to solve this issue.

  12. How many times can the guests hosted by a Qatar resident under Hayya enter Qatar? Is it multi – entry? Kindly advise thanks

  14. Hi DG Team,

Can me and my family is allowed to accept 2 different hayya invitations from 2 different Hosts (friends)?

Is it required should be the same invitation for all from one host?

    1. Doha Guides Team

Hi Anu, No problem, You can get vouchers from different persons. You can also be hosted by different persons.

  15. Team, I have taken a room in a villa(refurbished), i registered it through national address certificate. Since I don’t know the property name, i have given only my name in the property name column. Will it go for rejection ? or should I have to enter name of the owner of the building ?

    1. Doha Guides Team

Hi Mohamed, Property name is for your identification (in case you have more than one property). You only need to enter the correct building, street and zone numbers.

  16. Dear DG,

My wife’s Hayya Card has been already approved. Now i am going to host her and going to upload my current National Address Certificate on Hayya Portal.

After the registration of my current Accomodation details (My current NAC) on Hayya portal to invite her, suppose if i change or Shift to another Accomodation address after her arrival to Qatar, is it ok to move or shift to another accomodation, since the previously Registered accomodation detail is different one on Hayya portal ??
