New drivers looking to obtain a driving license in Qatar are required to obtain a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their sponsor. Previously, this involved obtaining a signed paper document. However, with the convenience of the Metrash2 mobile app, the process has become much easier.

How To Get NOC For Driving License
1. Get NOC For Driving License From Metrash
You can follow the below steps to get NOC for driving license from Metrash. Note that these steps should be done from the Metrash mobile app of the sponsor. For example, if the husband is the sponsor, this should be done on the husband’s Metrash app.
Step 1: Install and Open Metrash
Ensure you have the Metrash application installed on your device. Once installed, launch the app and log in with your credentials. If you haven’t registered for Metrash, here is a step-by-step guide on how to register for Metrash.
Step 2: Navigate to “Traffic” Section
Within the Metrash app, locate and click on the “Traffic” section. This section is dedicated to services related to traffic regulations and licenses.
Step 3: Select “License Service”
Once in the “Traffic” section, find and click on the “License Service” option. This will provide you with a range of services related to driving licenses.
Step 4: Choose “License NOC”

2. Get NOC For Driving License From MOI Portal
The above steps can also be done on the MOI website for companies and individuals with smart cards. If you don’t have smart card access use the Metrash mobile app.
Step 1: Visit the MOI Website
If you prefer using the MOI website, visit the E-Services page on the MOI website using your web browser.
Step 2: Access Traffic Services
Navigate to the “Traffic Services” section on the MOI website.
Step 3: Click on “Driving License”
Locate and click on the option for “Driving License” within the traffic services menu.
Step 4: Select “Driving License NOC”
Among the available driving license services, find and click on “Driving License NOC.”
Step 5: Complete Required Fields
Fill out all the necessary fields in the NOC application form. Provide accurate information to avoid any delays in processing.
Step 6: Submit the Form
Once you’ve completed the form, review the information, and submit your NOC application.
Upon submission, the sponsor will receive a notification once the NOC is approved. Be sure to keep an eye out for any updates on your application status.
