Eid Al Adha is a Muslim holiday that commemorates Ibrahim’s willingness to sacrifice his son, Ismail, as an act of obedience to God. This year, Eid al-Adha in Qatar will fall on the 9th of July. Here’s what you need to know about Eid Al Adha working hours in Qatar.
Eid Al Adha Holidays for Public Sector
Qatar’s Amiri Diwan has announced that the Eid Al Adha holidays will start on Sunday, July 10, 2022, and end on Thursday, July 14, 2022, for ministries, government entities, and public institutions. Employees are set to resume work on Sunday, July 17, 2022.
Eid Al Adha Holidays for Private Sector
According to the Ministry of Labour, private sector workers subject to the Labor Law will have three days of paid Eid holidays. If the worker is required to work during the Eid holidays, the provisions of Article (74) of the Labor Law relating to overtime work and their allowances shall apply.
Health Centers Working Hours during Eid Al Adha
The Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC) has announced the working hours at health centres during the Eid Al Adha holiday, from 10 to 14 July 2022.

*The 17 health centres are Al Wakrah, Al Matar, Al Thumama, Omar bin Al Khattab, West Bay, Leabaib, Umm Salal, Gharfat Al Rayyan, Khalifa City, Abu Bakr Al Siddiq, Al Rayyan, Mesaimeer, Muaither, Al Khor, Al Ruwais, and Al Sheehaniya.
Al Sheehaniya, Abu Baker Al Siddiq, Muaither, Al Ruwais, Al Kaaban, Umm Salal, Gharrafat Al Rayyan, and Rawdat Al Khail will be receiving urgent cases daily 24 hours.
Rawdat Al Khail Health Center will be a Covid-19 designated health centre operating round the clock, while its dental services will be from 7 am to 10 pm.
Al Wajbah, Al Waab, and Qatar University centres will be closed during the Eid Al Adha holiday except for their Covid-19 vaccination clinics according to the pre-booked appointments, which will operate round the clock.
The Umm Ghuwailina, South Al Wakrah, Al Daayen, Leghwairiya, Al Kaaban, Abu Nakhla and Al Karaana health centers will be closed.
The ophthalmology clinics will operate daily in the Leabaib, Rawdat Al Khail, and Muathier centres, while dermatology and ENT clinics will operate daily in Leabaib and Rawdat Al Khail health centres.
Premarital clinics will work at the Airport health centre on July 11, from 4 pm to 10 pm, at Al Rayyan health centre on July 12, from 7 am to 2 pm, and at West Bay health centre on July 14, from 7 am to 2 pm.
The Medication Home Delivery service will be off from July 9 – 11 and will resume work on July 12.
MOPH announces that the applications for newborn birth certificates will be received during the Eid al-Adha holiday only via the Birth Certificate Registration System.
Ministry of Interior Working Hours during Eid Al Adha
According to the Ministry of Interior, work will continue round-the-clock in its traffic investigation and security departments during Eid Al-Adha. The working hours of different departments of the Ministry of Interior during the month of Eid Al Adha 2022 are as below:

Fahes Eid Al Adha Working Hours
On the occasion of Eid Al Adha, Woqod announced that Fahes vehicle inspection services will operate their permanent stations from the third day of Eid. From 11 to 14 July 2022, Fahes permanent stations will operate from 8 am to 4 pm. Gates will close at 3:30 pm.
Eid Al Adha Holidays For Banks and Financial Institutions
Qatar Central Bank (QCB) has announced that the Eid Al Adha holiday for all financial institutions in the country (banks, currency exchange stores, insurance companies, finance, investment, and financial consultants) will be from Sunday, July 10, 2022, to Tuesday, July 12, 2022. All financial institutions will be open to the public on Wednesday, July 13, 2022.
