  1. I have a similar issue what I saw in dohaguide. My son and myself came here under Hayya card and my visa was approves when i came here. (Husband is QID holder). To transfer the visa, i went immigration and asked for transfering with QR 500. Immigration refused to do it and tils me to go another country and come back. It is really difdicult me to travel with son. What should i do?

Hi Prabodhani, Sorry to hear that. They used to approve visa changes from visit visas to residence visas. Maybe they don’t do that with the Hayya visa. Check with MOI if you can cross the Saudi border and come back by car (Hayya card holders can get free Saudi visa). That would be cheaper than Dubai or Oman.

  2. I came Qatar thru Hayya card and after that, working VISA was approved. Even I was informed by one person in immigration, my company PRO said, it can be done thru an official payment to immigration without having an exit from Qatar. Is it Ok? What should I do and whom in immigration shoul I meet?

    1. Doha Guides Team

Hi Madura, You can change without exit. Your company PRO should visit MOI Service Center and change the visa status. There is a fee of QR 500. You cannot change your own visa status. Only the sponsor or sponsor’s representative (PRO) can do this.

      1. Thanks for the response. When I check with company PRO, he is reluctant to do that. So, as I am a Hayya card holder, what happen if I cross the Saudi Boader and come back. (I can go there with another friend). If it is possible, what are the requirements?
